am seeking a kindred soul. The few good friends I have are people with common interests and compatible worldviews. So far, romantically, I've been involved with people very much unlike me, and find that over time I am not able to continue compromising the things I want in order to make things work. But all relationships are romantic to some degree. Even if it's just in the expectations we have for them to be fulfilling, solid friendships are energized by intimacy and sharing the parts of ourselves we are afraid might turn bad if we hold them back in fear of uncertainty or rejection. I bask in the thrill of vulnerability, and take chances often. Romantically, I'm looking for someone who would challenge me to be the best person I can be; a person looking to grow and become more of what she loves in herself. Someone who knows what she wants and wants to be respected and treated with deep human regard, but who also knows that love can never be distilled; can never be boiled free of carbon--and everything that comes with being a beating heart and a thinking mind. I am looking for a visionary companion and a person to spend warm winter mornings in bed with. Someone to argue with and be silly with. A woman who can be the beneficiary of everything I have to give, and give me back as much of herself as she thinks I deserve.
