Rameses the Great

It appears that Rameses II, or Great, who was Pharoah of Egypt in the 13th century BC, and one of its most well-known and longest-reigning monarchs, had red hair. His well-preserved mummy has a fair amount of it still existing, which is interesting because it proves for a time at least, the rulers of ancient Egypt and some of its inhabitants were Caucasians, and they were probably the builders of the Pyramids and other monuments. So the real Rameses didn't look like Yul Brynner from "The Ten Commandments"!
